John Karborn (b. 1985, London) A contemporary artist working with traditional and new, often self-invented media processes. His work takes pleasure in imperfection and immediacy - a deliberate attempt to produce a wild and wonderful made-on-the-run-just-get-on-with-it-kind-of-artwork.. He considers de-personalised portraiture and the eternal geometry of the body in space as well as the unlikely and strange effects our perceived ideas may have on the past, present and future.

John’s work has been exhibited in Mona – Museum of Old and New Art, Australia; The British Film Institute, London; Brick Lane Gallery, RIO Cinema, Dalston; and The Rich Mix Cinema, London with Mark Fisher. He has been comprehensively written about in publications such as Vice, ItsNiceThat, The New York Times and Dazed & Confused.
